{"id":5650,"date":"2021-02-22T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-22T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/optral.studio128k.com\/sin-categorizar\/ftth-microcables\/"},"modified":"2026-10-08T13:21:26","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T12:21:26","slug":"ftth-microcables","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/optral.studio128k.com\/en\/sin-categorizar\/ftth-microcables\/","title":{"rendered":"FTTH Microcables"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was back in 2009 when OPTRAL supplied 500 km of 24-fiber and 48-fiber microcable to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=EstWin+Project+broadband+infrastructure+network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EstWin Project broadband infrastructure network<\/a>, a project undertaken by Estonia to make broadband Internet accessible to all Estonian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, Estonia has updated its broadband targets as part of its Digital Agenda 2020, and over 25,000 km of the installed fiber optic cables were manufactured in our Barcelona factory thanks to our distributor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Baltronic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baltronic<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microcables are installed by blowing them into buried, pre-installed microducts. The blowing technique allows for cost reductions compared to traditional fiber optic installation methods (such as in-duct, direct-buried, or ADSS). There are several advantages to blown cable technology, but the main one is the speed and simplicity of the work: with a single duct installation, the customer gains multiple fiber count options as well as easy cable upgrades in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OPTRAL is always committed to staying close to customer needs, through which we learned the critical importance of rigidity and diameter tolerance to ensure blowing operations achieve their intended success.
